KUKBUK is not only an exclusive culinary magazine, but also an internet portal where a registered user can find plenty of interesting materials on cooking and lifestyle.

Dynamic increase of users and new portal version implementation caused the need to use an environment in public cloud. Company was looking for a way to implement their new portal using Amazon Web Services.

Addressing the challenge

After consulting KUKBUK’s development team we suggested AWS based architecture. Static files are shared without servers, using CloudFront. The heart of the portal keeps it alive thanks to Fargate. We also used RDS, ElastiCache and ElasticSearch. Everything is secured with safe, encrypted connections.

The result

New version of KUKBUK’s portal is working on AWS. IT team doesn’t have to manage, patch nor update the environment. Portal is basically maintenance-free. Team members can focus on developing new functionalities or creating interesting content. Hosting in cloud enables also adding new resources easily if any architecture changes are required or number of users grows rapidly.
